The role:

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for an Operations Analyst to join their Warehouse Department located at their Distribution Center in Orangeburg, NY.  This position will report to the Senior Director of Distribution.

The Operations Analyst is tasked with working “behind the scenes” detecting areas of improvement/concern across the warehouse functions.  The individual will become the subject matter expert for the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and develop reports to monitor productivity and offer deeper visibility into our new WMS, Infor.  The warehouse leadership team will partner with this individual to generate key reports and monitoring tools

The Operations Analyst will:

  • Analyze WMS data and synthesize to identify areas that need attention/improvement as well as to monitor daily performance and productivity
  • Assist the warehouse management team with creating reports, graphs and presentations
  • Partner with the warehouse department managers to create, monitor and track key KPIs
  • Support tracking and/or documenting best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Reconciliation of temp labor hours

You have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field required
  • 3+ years of data mining/analysis experience required
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically advanced MS Excel knowledge required
  • Use of report writing software and WMS preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills
  • Six Sigma or Lean experience preferred
  • Experience with Infor highly desirable
