PROJECT: Design & build new Commodity Management System
TERM OF ENGAGEMENT: Approximately one year
Services will include:
Review both of Lyons’ inventory/services databases & features
Commodity Management System (custom built by Miles Technologies 15 years ago).
Warehouse Manager (custom built in Access approximately 30 years ago).
Interview all stakeholders
Chief Executive Officer
Chief Financial Officer
Sr. Traffic Manager
Sr. Warehouse Managers (2)
Selected members of accounting department
Selected Warehouse Managers
Assimilate features/functions within current systems.
Assimilate features/functions/requirements from stakeholders.
Write a comprehensive Technical Specification
Develop features/functions using MS Access or such other platform as determined.
Work closely with stakeholders to perform regression testing at appropriate intervals.
The completed software package will manage storage of cocoa beans (bags) and cocoa products (boxes) on behalf of our clients. Stored goods must contemplate multiple clients, multiple warehouses, multiple vessels, multiple tares, multiple points of origin, and other masterfile data.
Software must support set-up and utilization of multiple services performed on beans and products during ship-in, storage term, and ship-out – generating revenues that will be loaded (manually and/or electronically) into our Quickbooks financial database.
