POSITION TITLE: Manager of IT Infrastructure
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
SUPERVISOR: Senior Director of Global IT
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
ROLE DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for managing a team of IT support staff while ensuring the functionality and stability of the company’s systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hires and trains IT staff.
- Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of the IT team.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs
- Creating rational strategies for upgrading the company’s network software whenever a new update is available
- Constructing and implementing plans to ensure the company’s network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem
- Staying up to date with new network technology and reporting this information to the executive team each quarter
- Working closely with other department Managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network
- Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department.
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Microsoft Server OS, Microsoft Office 365, VMware, networking, firewall, and backup administration.
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Ensure that corporate defined SLA and uptime requirements are maintained.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Work with IT leadership on providing recommendations and improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Provide guidance and mentor staff in the many areas of systems and networking.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Hands-on experience with technologies including Windows Server, Cloud infrastructure, Office 365, Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, and VMware.
- Possesses a collaborative and team-oriented approach with strong communication skills.
- Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals.
- Familiar with documentation strategies for the enterprise.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 8-10 years of experience supporting a mid-size to large infrastructure.
- 3 or more years of IT Project Management.
- Relevant IT certifications preferred.
- Experience in logistics and supply chain a plus.
