The Solution sales consultant is employed as a technical expert with the task of working closely with the sales team to ensure that the products being offered can be tailored to meet the customers’ requirements. The Solution sales consultant coordinates technical sales activities. He/she transfers industry, technical and product knowledge to customers via excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. This person will assist in all levels of technical account planning and accompanies sales account managers on visits to customers. The Solution sales consultant supports the successful achievement of sales targets by analyzing the technical needs and proving ability to deliver the solutions proposed to prospects or existing customers. Work closely with the sales team on proposals and pitches for business Support the sales team on all customer events Comfortable and adept at making calls to prospective clients Attend meetings with the sales team and act as a technical expert Put together business cases for the sales team to support their proposals
Work closely and collaboratively with customers to devise effective solutions and capture requirements Ensure that the company’s product can deliver on the customer’s requirements Reply to customers following requests for information and proposal requests Provide first-line technical support for software evaluations and/or pilot projects Present proposals and system demonstrations to customers alongside members of the sales team Configure systems to build custom demos to meet customer requirements Ability to position and present product offerings to potential customers Understand how best to differentiate the platform from competition during sales cycles Compare product offering with product from other vendors from a technical point of view Travel will be up to 25% based on client locations – sensitive to COVID Travel restrictions Previous experience working within a technical pre-sales/solution sales position a plus Background in the AFA (Apparel/Footwear/Accessory industry) a plus Software systems experience An ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand
Previous experience working for a competitor in a similar position a plus Strong understanding and experience with leading planning and inventory management solutions and how they relate to each other a plus Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong presentation skills (proficiency in Project, Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) while providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving business process and/or technical problems Excellent interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity Excellent writing skills is a must Ability to sell in a consultative way is a must A college degree, preferably in Information Technology

Compensation: $110-120K + Commission
