Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, maintain, and replace complex electronic hardware on industrial equipment in a variety of operating environments
• Install, replace, configure, and maintain various hardware and software communication devices
• Provide detailed documentation of all customer site visits
• Analyze and troubleshoot hardware
• Provide training and excellent customer service and support to a variety of Fortune 500 clients
• Extensive travel throughout the North America providing installation, technical, and training support is required (infrequent travel abroad may be required)
Qualifications/Requirements:
• 2-year Electronics degree or equivalent work experience installing telematics systems
• 2-3+ years of experience as an electronics technician with previous automobile, trailer, and/or forklift mechanic experience required, excellent electromechanical skills
• Must have excellent oral and written communication, as well as presentation skills
• Ability to travel out of state 95% of the time
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to maneuver under and over forklifts, trailers, chassis, trucks, and vans.
• Ability to use ladders.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
• Ability to pass random drug testing as request by customers
• Must be able to provide detailed documentation of customer site visits.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and TEAM.
• Clean driving record for last three years
• Self-motivated
• Able to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining a positive attitude
• Must have current passport or ability to obtain passport within 60 days of hire
• Must be proficient in the operation of multi-meter, spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope
• Ability to read, understand basic electrical schematics.
• MECP (Mobile Electronics Certified Professional) Certified is a plus
• ASE Master Certified Automotive Technician is a plus
• Must have the unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
