This role is to backfill the Leader and decision maker for my client’s information technology department within a medium-sized family-owned business who is retiring.

The VP of Information Technology will implement strategies and select technologies to improve workflows and business practices.  Will be responsible for technology improvement, I/T staff, and infrastructure.  Will advise on new technologies and technologies, provide guidance within the organization and monitor budgets.

  1. Managerial experience with a small Information Technology staff
  2. Hands-On experience.  The incumbent will be available for consulting, but the successful candidate must eventually be self-reliant.
  3. Experience with the management of IBM I and SQL Server databases
  4. A good working knowledge of SQL is required
  5. Experience with application modernization is an advantage
  6. Manufacturing and Distribution experience
  7. Experience in working with warehouse management systems.
  8. Some financial applications knowledge
  9. Must be flexible with time. Occasionally week-end work and during vacations/holidays may be required

  7. Excellent verbal and written skills.
  8. Ability to work with office and warehouse personnel. 
  9. Problem prevention and resolution capabilities.
  10. Advanced degree preferred.
  11. Several years within a manufacturing and/or distribution environment including ERP systems and warehouse management systems required.
  12. Basic understanding of financial systems.
  13. Excellent analytical skills required.
  14. Manage I/T costs.
  15. Analyze I/T systems for effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  16. Research new technologies and asses its suitability
  17. Implementation of technology to streamline internal operations and optimization of strategic benefits
Estimated Compensation: $180,000 - $200,000 Per Year
