This is a remote 18-24 month contract for a skilled RPG Developer with strong experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) environments to support and enhance our ERP system. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in RPG programming, expertise in Embedded SQL, and direct experience working within the BPCS ERP system.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using RPG IV/ILE
Write and optimize Embedded SQL queries within RPG programs
Support and customize the BPCS ERP system, including maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working with end users and cross-functional teams
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
Maintain technical documentation and adhere to coding standards and change control procedures
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in RPG IV/ILE development
Proficient in Embedded SQL on the IBM i platform
Experience working with BPCS ERP (Infor LX) strongly preferred
Familiarity with AS/400 file structures, CL programs, and DDS
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
