The Manager of East Coast Operations is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the daily tactical execution and operational oversight of the Edison, NJ regional hub. This individual manages the systems and teams necessary to support rapid scaling while maintaining industry-leading fulfillment standards. Given the company’s trajectory, this role is designed for a high-performer with the potential to elevate into a Director-level position as the East Coast division expands.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Execution: Implements and refines scalable standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, inventory control, and outbound logistics to ensure peak efficiency.
  • Facility Scaling: Manages the physical and operational workflow of the Edison facility, ensuring floor productivity and infrastructure keep pace with new client acquisition.
  • Performance Management: Monitors the regional budget and operational KPIs, focusing on labor optimization, cost-per-order reduction, and high-margin performance.
  • Team Leadership: Leads the recruitment, daily supervision, and retention of the warehouse management team and general labor force, fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforces rigorous adherence to OSHA standards and internal safety protocols to ensure a secure, high-functioning work environment for all staff.

 
Candidate Profile

  • Proven Operator: Possesses a minimum of 5–8 years in 3PL, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a management capacity.
  • NJ Logistics Knowledge: Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Northern New Jersey logistics corridor, including familiarity with local labor markets and carrier networks.
  • Results-Oriented Leader: Utilizes WMS data and floor metrics to identify bottlenecks, improve throughput, and optimize the supply chain.
  • Career-Driven: Displays the professional ambition and operational grit required to grow into senior leadership as the facility’s footprint increases.

 
Educational & Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing mid-to-large scale distribution environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean, 5S, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
Estimated Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 Per Year
