Sr Manager, Logistics

  • Location: Columbus, OH
  • Type: Direct Hire
  • Remote
  • Job #9425

The Logistics team is the backbone of the company’s physical world. We make sure what we create actually gets into the hands of customers—reliably, efficiently, and at scale. This team owns the journey from factory floor to customer door, navigating global complexity while protecting cost, speed, and service. We work closely with Sourcing, Finance, and Customer Operations to keep our supply chain resilient and ready for what’s next.

We are looking for a strategic operator who sees global logistics as a system to design, not just manage. You don’t wait for disruptions; you build the infrastructure to anticipate and absorb them. You’re fluent in trade complexity and use data, automation, and AI to turn it into a competitive advantage.
You’re someone who builds leverage through smarter workflows, better visibility, and tools that make the whole team faster. You’re comfortable making high-stakes decisions with imperfect information and can translate global volatility into clear direction for the business.

KEY DUTIES

  • Own and evolve the business’s international transportation strategy, balancing cost, speed, and reliability across a complex global network.
  • Build and scale systems (including AI-driven tools) that automate reporting, improve freight audit accuracy, and predict disruptions before they impact operations.
  • Lead the transition from manual data tracking to automated, AI-driven visibility tools. Partner with tech teams to build a “Control Tower” that isolates exceptions and predicts disruptions before they impact the P&L.
  • Lead tariff and duty optimization strategy, including scalable drawback programs that recover capital and improve margin.
  • Establish data-driven Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs/QBRs) with core partners. Manage invoice auditing for Detention & Demurrage (D&D) to recover capital and improve margins.
  • Design a more resilient logistics network by proactively identifying global risks and rerouting or rebalancing flow before they affect downstream planning.
  • Act as the primary “translator” between Logistics, Finance, and Sourcing, ensuring a seamless handoff between international inbound and domestic fulfillment operations.
  • Ensure a seamless handoff into domestic operations by improving visibility, timing, and coordination across international and North American networks

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 7+ years of experience owning global logistics or international transportation strategy in a high-growth, complex supply chain environment.
  • Strong command of international trade compliance, tariff structures, and duty optimization programs.
  • Proven ability to build or implement AI, automation, or data-driven tools that materially improve operational performance.
  • A track record of turning data into clear decisions that improve cost, speed, or reliability.
  • Deep experience managing carrier and forwarder relationships, with a focus on high-impact contract negotiation and accountability.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels—setting direction while ensuring outcomes land.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and making decisions in a fast-changing global environment.
  • A “Builder” Mindset with proven ability to implement AI, automation, or data-driven tools that materially improve operational performance.
  • Ability to align partners across Finance, Sourcing, and Operations around shared goals and tradeoffs.
