We are conducting a search for an accomplished Chief Information Officer to join a growing, privately held organization. This executive leadership role offers the opportunity to lead the next phase of the company’s technology evolution by maximizing existing technology investments, strengthening business partnership, and supporting continued growth through acquisition and transformation.
The CIO will serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership, responsible for ensuring technology enables business growth, operational excellence, and long-term success. The ideal candidate combines deep technology expertise with a strong business mindset and a demonstrated commitment to developing future technology leaders through coaching, mentorship, and leadership development initiatives.
This role requires a leader who understands how to leverage existing technology investments to create greater business value, improve adoption, strengthen business partnership, and ensure technology supports the organization’s evolving needs—not technology for technology’s sake.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Technology Leadership
- Develop and execute a forward-looking technology strategy that aligns technology capabilities with business priorities, regulatory requirements, operational needs, and long-term growth objectives.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value.
- Evaluate how existing technology investments are supporting the business and identify opportunities to improve adoption, utilization, business processes, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Support the organization’s continued growth through acquisition by developing scalable technology strategies and integration plans.
Enterprise Systems & Supply Chain Technology
- Lead the optimization and integration of ERP, warehouse management, logistics, inventory, CRM, and reporting systems to improve visibility, efficiency, traceability, and decision-making across the business.
- Ensure enterprise applications effectively support Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and other business functions.
- Lead technology integration efforts associated with acquisitions while maximizing the value of existing enterprise platforms.
Team Leadership, Coaching & Leadership Development
- Lead, develop, train, and mentor a high-performing IT organization by strengthening technical capabilities, developing leadership skills, and preparing emerging leaders for expanded responsibility across corporate, remote, and operational locations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and exceptional service.
- Develop future technology leaders through coaching, mentorship, succession planning, cross-training, and professional development initiatives.
Data, Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Advance data governance, reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities to support demand planning, pricing decisions, operational performance, inventory accuracy, and supply chain transparency.
- Promote the effective use of data to improve business decision-making across the organization.
Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity, disaster recovery, data privacy, and compliance framework that protects company assets, supports business continuity, and aligns with regulatory and operational requirements.
Vendor, Budget & Resource Management
- Oversee IT budgets, vendor relationships, contracts, service levels, and technology investments to ensure cost-effective solutions, strong accountability, and measurable business value.
Change Management & Business Partnership
- Build strong partnerships across the organization and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and business stakeholders.
- Partner with business leaders to improve technology adoption, develop user training strategies, communicate system enhancements, and build organizational capability so employees and managers can fully leverage existing technology investments.
- Lead change management initiatives that improve user engagement and strengthen alignment between technology and business objectives.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, modernize business processes, automate manual activities, and implement scalable technology solutions that improve operational performance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, automation, and advanced analytics, to determine where they can create measurable business value and support the organization’s long-term strategy.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least five years in a CIO, VP of IT, or other senior technology leadership role.
- Experience within food & beverage, consumer products, manufacturing, import, distribution, or other supply chain-driven organizations.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise technology transformation within complex, multi-site organizations.
- Proven experience supporting organizational growth through acquisitions, systems integration, and business transformation.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
Technical Expertise
Experience leading enterprise technology environments that include:
- ERP platforms (Infor M3 experience strongly preferred)
- Salesforce
- Power BI and business intelligence platforms
- Warehouse management and inventory systems

- Enterprise applications supporting supply chain and business operations
Estimated Compensation: $350,000 - $390,000 Per Year
