Job Summary:
Responsibilities include processing bi-weekly payroll (200+ employees) for the company, overseeing all administrative activities related to payroll, processing payroll and managing aspects of employee benefits as they relate to payroll.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Payroll and General Ledger
• Responsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll for 200+ employees;
• Responsible for the coordinated effort between payroll, human resources, budget and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
• Track and reconcile 401k contributions and employer match. Submit files to 401k vendor
• Ensure Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance; Annual forms review
• Annual review of W-2 forms and reconciliation to general ledger
• Create monthly Vanguard reports of exempt/non-exempt employees’ hours worked
• Import bi-weekly payroll entries into general ledger and clear tax payables to cash
• 401k Audit Assistance
Financial Planning and Analysis
• Prepare Annual Compensation and Benefit Budget
• Assist in researching income, expense, budgeting, and forecasting variances as assigned; provide narration of financial results and trends, as well as prepare ad-hoc analyses as necessary
• Engage in various expense budgeting and forecasting tasks, including, but not limited to, preparing / entering journal entries, data entry, and reporting
• Assist in compilation of board of directors, rating agency, DC Committee and other management presentations and analyses
• Assist in cash flow analysis, forecasting, and reporting
• Possess absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Intermediate MS Office Suite skills
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Effective analytical and problem-solving skills required
• Corporate accounting / General ledger experience
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a plus
- 2-5 years of experience with payroll, general accounting, budgeting, planning, and financial analysis required
Estimated Compensation: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 Per Year
