Join our dynamic team as the IT Portfolio Manager for Planning & Allocation. In this influential role, you’ll collaborate with various cross-functional teams, such as Planning, Allocation, Forecasting, IT, and other operational and strategy teams. Your mission will be to align IT capabilities with critical business objectives, elevate IT solutions, and ensure seamless project delivery. You’ll manage a team of business analysts and Product Owners, prioritize requirements, and build strong relationships with executive stakeholders to drive our IT roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of business analysts, Product Managers, and IT delivery leaders, evolving the Planning & Allocation portfolio team to support upcoming large IT initiatives.

  • Product Management: Act as Product Manager or Solution Manager for Planning or Allocation IT projects, including large, multi-year initiatives. Manage portfolio product roadmaps, resources, scope, and timelines.

  • Strategic Planning: Assess the value and develop business cases for new capability requests, prioritizing them against existing demand for key projects.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Planning & Allocation Delivery as a key participant in IT 5-year planning and road mapping. Manage ongoing business demand and establish prioritization processes.

  • Team Building: Build a high-performing team of business analysts and product owners with expertise in iterative project delivery (Agile) and planning & allocation business acumen.

  • Strategic Alignment: Help set the strategic direction for the Planning & Allocation IT portfolio roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and IT leadership.

  • Consultation: Consult with senior business leadership to align priorities with broader strategic IT initiatives and IT stakeholders on the planning of upcoming programs.
  • Project Oversight: Ensure individual project teams are constructed and staffed for effective delivery, and provide ongoing support to align projects with data governance principles.

Qualifications:
 

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in information systems, business administration, or a related technical discipline. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience: At least 15 years of progressive experience in IT delivery, with at least 5 years in retail IT, specifically in planning, forecasting, and allocation systems.

  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills, including the ability to build and lead geographically distributed teams.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executives.

  • Analytical: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen skills.

  • Methodology: Experience with iterative, incremental delivery methodologies such as Agile.

  • Travel: Some travel may be required.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in MDM platforms, merchandising systems, or Product Lifecycle Management.
  • Knowledge of Assortment Planning
Estimated Compensation: $143,000.00 - $270,000.00 Per Year
