The Director of Information Technology is a results-oriented senior manager reporting to the CEO, responsible for leading strategic and operational IT functions. This role involves managing a team and overseeing the delivery of technology services, including databases, systems, websites, desktop and server support, email, and list server resources. This position is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spearhead the digital transformation of a 100 year old organization.
What You’ll Do:
Lead technology services delivery, managing corporate databases, systems, websites, and support functions.
Inventory all existing IT systems both within and outside of the organization.
Collaborate with the CEO to put together long-term development roadmaps.
Coordinate and manage IT staff and external technology service providers.
Evaluate and ensure the efficiency and security of IT operations, including IT policies, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
Evaluate and recommend cost-effective technology solutions and manage vendor relationships.
What You’ll Bring:
5-8 years of proven IT Director experience, including policy creation and system maintenance.
Hands-on development experience.
Experience working for a small or medium sized organization.
Experience working in a virtualization or cloud environment.
A highly collaborative, team-based approach.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, C, Objective-C, C#, SQL.
Experience with VMWare and AWS is a huge plus!
