Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to meet business requirements and objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, and implement best practices for cloud infrastructure and services.
Utilize Google Cloud services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub to build scalable and reliable applications.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python code to implement backend services, APIs, and automation scripts.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of cloud-based applications.
Monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of cloud infrastructure and applications.
Implement security best practices and compliance standards to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data stored in the cloud.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and integrations.
Stay updated on the latest developments in cloud technology and Python programming to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Lead code reviews, documentation efforts, and knowledge sharing sessions to foster collaboration and maintain high code quality standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
3+ years demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar (AWS, Azure).
Proficiency in Python programming language, with experience developing backend services, APIs, and automation scripts.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, cloud security principles, and identity and access management (IAM) in a cloud environment.
Experience with version control systems such as Google Cloud Source (or Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Certified – Professional Data Engineer) are a plus.
