Responsible for managing the finance department and the preparation and issuance of the monthly financial statements. Candidate must have solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills. Must possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Candidate is required to multi-task, adjust to the workings of a dynamic environment, and must have proven experience with the ability to design, develop and implement controls. Must demonstrate a positive attitude, be flexible and adaptable to change, implement best-practices, and focused on continuous improvement. Must demonstrate a high standard of ethics. Role will require 5 plus years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting the Controller in planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results
Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements on a timely basis
Assist the Controller in overseeing the accounts payables and receivable departments
Coordinating activities of external auditors
Responsible for daily banking and vendor payments
Assist the Controller in providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
Assisting the Controller with the budget process
Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
Assist the Controller in evaluating accounting and internal control systems
Assist the Controller in evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
Assist the Controller in overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
Assist the Controller in hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff

Education: Bachelor’s degree is required, CPA or MBA preferred.
Estimated Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 Per Year
