We are in search of a dedicated, strategic-minded, and highly analytical Director of Analytics & Insights. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing valuable consumer and market insights to drive strategic decisions and optimize the performance of our products in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities: As the Director of Analytics & Insights your primary responsibilities will include:
 

  • Lead the Personal Care division’s Analytics & Insights function, integrating a “consumer-driven” approach across the brand, from product development to marketing plan activation to in-market performance tracking.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations using data from platforms such as IRI, Nielsen, NPD (both syndicated and consumer), DOMO, JDA (ProSpace), and other relevant systems to guide go-to-market plans and assess the performance of new product launches.
  • Lead the Category Management team developing strategies for key retail accounts to maximize brand visibility. Conduct analysis using internal shipment information, syndicated data, and account point of sale (POS) data.
  • Generate and analyze Consumer & Shopper Insights to inform decisions related to new product development, brand communication, packaging, creative assets, and marketing optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Marketing, and Sales on insights related to new product development, marketing communication, and new item introductions to drive business growth.
  • Standardize data and reporting across the division, assisting in database maintenance and development for faster access to accurate information.

Overall:
 

  • Data contract negotiation experience
  • Ability to incorporate company and customer objectives into highly actionable, analysis-based recommended courses of action.
  • Must example proof of knowledge of syndicated and custom data platforms. Experience in conducting data restatements, taxonomy, data restructuring.
  • Proven ability to craft and communicate complex data analysis into actionable insights and stories that non analytical people will understand. Strong strategic thinking and excellent communication skills to convey complex data and insights effectively.
  • Provide understanding of all POS measures in Circana, what they stand for and their usage.
  • Solid understanding of direct account POS like RSI, 1010, 84:51, Stratum, and its usage.
     

Retailer Experience:
 

  • Proven experience and examples of working directly with a major retailer in a category captaincy role.
  • Provide an example of a JBP analysis and presentation with a major retailer or retailers.
  • Understand Amazon and Ecommerce sources, analysis, and the difference between POS and ECOM data. Expertise in the use of Stackline Ecom data.
  • Must have fluently presented in front of a retailer’s leadership and buying staff.
  • Must provide examples of past wins at a retailer where the company gained distribution and sales.
  • Hands on experience and understanding of Blue Yonder JDA space planning software and the use of it with a retailer.
     

Consumer Research Insights and Analysis:
 

  • Must example the ability to build and conduct primary research and provide examples of such.
  • Must example the construction and use of research tools like Pricing models, Conjoint analysis, A/B testing, Package Testing, Concept testing, Focus Groups.
  • Experience with consumer communities, The construction and revitalization of them.
  • Proven experience in panel analysis and the actual usage of Numerator and other consumer panels. Decision trees, leakage trees.
  • Experience working with product development and marketing teams to define learning and validation plans for new products and creative assets.
  • Track record of managing, coaching, and developing teams.
     

Business intelligence:
 

  • Experience in incorporating data sources into a data lake or standard source.
  • Ability to create taxonomy and data structure.
  • Ability to dashboard data based on user needs.
  • Use of SAAS platforms and AI tools to drive insights.
     

Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of Consumer, Shopper Insights, Shopper Behavior, and/or Category Management Experience required.
  • Experience working with syndicated services (NPD, Nielsen, IRI) is necessary.
  • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative consumer research methodologies.
  • Experience in consumer product goods preferred.
  • Knowledge of Web/eCommerce analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
     
Estimated Compensation: $200,000 - $220,000 Per Year
