A global distributor of industrial and consumer goods needed help hiring for several highly-specialized IT roles. Their hybrid work model required professionals who lived within commuting distance to Westchester County, NY—limiting the talent pool significantly. On top of that, they sought candidates with rare expertise in platforms like JD Edwards (JDE), InforM3, and Sterling. These were not easy hires. The client needed a partner who could quickly deliver top performers with the right mix of technical skills and local availability. The stakes were high, timelines were tight, and the roles were mission-critical.

To meet the challenge, our team launched a targeted, multi-faceted recruiting strategy. We began with a deep intake process—partnering closely with the CIO, VP of Supply Chain and Finance Applications, and Director of Information Solutions to fully understand each role’s impact on the business.
Knowing the candidate pool would be narrow, we immediately mobilized our network and built a project team to support the search. Within days, we began sourcing and delivering highly-skilled professionals who aligned with the client’s Ideal Candidate Profile (ICP).
In just one year, we supported six highly-specialized searches. We vetted 88 candidates, presented 26 top contenders, facilitated 38 interviews, and placed five outstanding professionals—all within an average time-to-fill of just under 90 days. We also helped backfill a critical JDE Supply Chain Analyst role, originally placed by a third-party vendor, and advised on a hybrid IT/logistics leadership position.
Ultimately, our long-standing relationship with this organization opened the door for several new engagements in 2023. What started over a decade ago with a Windows 7 Consultant evolved into a strategic recruiting partnership, supporting direct hire and contract-to-hire needs across IT, logistics, and finance.
