Summary

Our client, a global luxury fashion brand was preparing for a major digital transformation. Yet, their long-standing Vice President of IT was planning to transition out, creating a leadership gap at a critical moment. The organization was in the early stages of a complex MS Dynamics 365 implementation designed to unify its enterprise systems across retail, eCommerce, supply chain, and finance.

Beyond replacing a key executive, the organization needed to build a robust technology bench capable of executing and sustaining this transformation. The challenge was multifaceted—balancing confidentiality, speed, and technical acumen. Each position required highly specialized expertise and alignment with the company’s evolving strategic goals. Having partnered with our team in prior years, the client once again turned to us to support their search.

Solutions

Our engagement began with a deep discovery process. We collaborated closely with their Program Management Consultant and technology leadership team to understand every aspect of their business roadmap, talent requirements, and performance expectations. Maintaining daily communication for nearly two years allowed us to remain fully aligned with their priorities.

We implemented a disciplined search strategy outlining exactly how our organization planned to help attract, engage, evaluate, and ultimately hire qualified talent. Over 400 candidates were screened, and 142 were vetted in collaboration with the client’s leadership team. Our goal was not only to fill roles but to assemble a high-performing technology organization that could deliver sustainable results.

Over a five-year partnership, we successfully placed more than 20 professionals across IT and finance, including:

  • Six Business Analysts supporting retail, wholesale, and eCommerce operations
  • One Retail IT Project Manager
  • One Manager of EDI and Integration
  • One Mulesoft Developer
  • Multiple accounting and finance professionals, both contract and permanent

These strategic hires enabled the company to complete its ERP and CRM migration on schedule. The “go-live” was a measurable success—improving visibility, automation, and data integrity across global operations while reducing IT costs and strengthening compliance.
